Dr. Perlstein is board certified in Podiatric Orthopedics and Wound Care. He also has special Laser training. He has treated over 30,000 patients since 1986. He is a licensed pharmacist (graduated in 1981) and graduated Podiatric medical school in 1986. To remain at the cutting edge of medical knowledge, Dr. Perlstein travels throughout the United States to learn from the experts and brings it back to his office so that his patients may benefit. He takes these continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Perlstein is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and The New York State Medical Association. He also maintains membership in the American Diabetes Association as well as The American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Perlstein has orthopedic surgical privileges at two Brooklyn hospitals - Suny Downstate Hospital/Long Island College Hospital as well as Maimonides Medical Center, where he trains residents in foot surgery.
